In today's challenging economic climate, many individuals are facing sudden job loss and lack of access to healthcare. We are committed to helping these individuals and others navigate life's challenges and achieve mental wellness. Our team is passionate about making a difference in the community and providing support to those in need.

Our Mission
ALWEH's mission is to ensure everyone has access to mental health care, even if they can't afford it. We recognize that many insurance plans either don't cover mental health services or come with high deductibles and copays, making it difficult for people to afford the care they need. By providing free therapy through donations, we help remove these financial barriers, ensuring that mental health support is available to all, especially those without sufficient insurance coverage. Our commitment is to foster a healthier community by making mental wellness accessible to everyone.

Meet The Founder
Dr. Aunjuli Hicks, Ph.D., LPC, NCC, ACS
Dr. Aunjuli Hicks is the visionary founder and executive director of ALWEH Counseling Consulting Wellness Group, Inc., a dedicated nonprofit organization committed to bridging the gap in mental health accessibility. As a licensed mental health professional with over two decades of experience and national certification in counseling, Dr. Hicks has deeply influenced the field with her profound commitment to mental wellness.
In her role as CEO and Managing Director of Hicks Group Wellness Center, a thriving private practice in Millburn, New Jersey, Dr. Hicks has witnessed firsthand the barriers faced by individuals lacking adequate insurance. She has seen patients struggle with the loss of healthcare coverage or transition to insurance plans burdened by high deductibles, making essential mental health services financially unattainable.
Moved by these challenges, Dr. Hicks was inspired to establish ALWEH, aiming to ensure that no individual is denied the mental health care they need due to financial constraints. Through her leadership, ALWEH provides vital support to those affected, offering counseling and resources to empower individuals and foster community well-being. Dr. Hicks’s unwavering dedication not only reflects her expertise but also her compassion and drive to make mental health care accessible for all.
